Nokia has silently launched a new entry-level smartphone under the radar called Nokia C01 Plus. Before we go any further I would like to clarify for our reader not to confuse the Nokia C01 Plus with Nokia C1 Plus (they are two different phones).
Nokia under the brand license HMD Global launched the phone and it is very similar to the C1 Plus. However, it is more buffed up than its sibling with a more powerful chipset, bigger battery, and the latest Android 11.
Nokia C01 Plus Overview
Nokia C01 Plus at first glance cannot be distinguished from the C1 Plus. But, it has not features that tell a different story. Some of the new features which are specifically added by the new device are Android 11 (Go edition), splash-proof casing & selfie camera flash.
Starting from the inside, the Nokia C01 Plus is powered by a Unisoc SC9863 chipset and 1GB RAM. In storage, there is a 16GB in-built with a microSD card slot to reach 128GB.
Interestingly, it does not have a fingerprint scanner but does support facial recognition. It also supports biometric protection. For display, it gets a 5.45-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.
In camera’s in gets 5MP camera on both sides with LED flash. For additional features, it gets 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, a micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For battery, it packs a 3,000 mAh battery with 5W charging including accelerometer, ambient, and proximity sensor
Price & Availability
Nokia C01 Plus is ready for pre-order in Russia and is priced at RUB 6,490 (~$90) for a 1/16GB variant. So the expected price in Nepal might be NPR 12,500.
The launch in other countries is yet to be confirmed but it will come in the Blue & Purple color variant.
