Xiaomi recently launched its much-awaited Redmi Note 11 pro-YIBO in China. The name Yibo comes from the design based on collaboration with the Chinese actor Wang Yibo who also happens to be Redmi’s brand ambassador.
With the release of the new Note series, there are several features and improvements to look forward to regarding display, battery life, and overall performance
Redmi promises a 120Hz fast refresh rate AMOLED display in its Note 11 Pro+ series, which is even more impressive than the Note 11 which comes with a 90 Hz fast refresh rate. This will make a significant pay-off when it comes to playing high-resolution clips without compromising the video quality. Not only that, the AMOLED display balances out the performance with lesser power consumption.
On the flip side, the most notable feature of the Note 11 Pro+ is its ultra-fast charging. With a Li-Po 4500 mAh battery embedded in it which provides an impressive charging capacity of 120 watts, the device gives a tough competition to other smartphones in its category. According to Xiaomi’s advertisement in the context of charging speed, the phone is advertised to be able to charge 100% in just 15 minutes. Given Xiaomi’s claim, this is a tough performance to beat in an affordable price range.
The operating system that comes with the Pro+ is an Android 11, MIUI 12.5. The UI combined with the MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset makes activities like HD streaming and graphically demanding gameplay very smooth. The Dimensity 920 chipset is also a considerable improvement on their previous chipset on the Redmi Note 10 which was a Snapdragon 678.
On the subject of the Note 11 Pro+, Lu Weibing, the president of Xiaomi Group, stated that the smartphone series will be the earliest ones to use the MediaTek Dimensity 920 Chipset. He added that the usage of the advanced process-TSMC 6nm along with the latest 178 dual large cores manages to maintain a decent power consumption even while running more demanding apps.
The Note 11 also promises a detailed image and video quality with its 50MP Main + 8 MP Ultra Wide Camera. The 16MP front camera makes the Note 11 great for taking selfies. The Pro and Pro+ feature even better cameras with a 108MP Main + 8MP Ultra Wide + 2MP macro sensor. The Note Pro and Pro+ comes with a 6.67’ screen compared to a smaller 6.6’ screen on the general Note 11.
The Note 11 from the most popular Note series is available at 8GB+128GB whereas the Pro and Pro+ are available at 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB Ram and Internal memory. The price for all these versions would be around $203, $ 234 dollars and $265 respectively. Speaking of the Note 11 pro-YIBO, this exclusive series comes with 8 GB of RAM and internal storage of 256 GB.
Overall, the Note 11 and Note 11 Pro and Pro+ series provide a promising performance with an affordable price range and stacks up well against other phones in this category.
