Samsung has been gearing up for the launch of it’s wireless stereo earbuds the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 for quiet some time. And now, it seems the wait will be finally over as the new product had cleared the FCC trail.
To further solidify the claims, Android Police was swift to note the change in the recent Galaxy Wearable APK. There the references of the Galaxy Buds 2 were noticed. So, without further ado lets get into what’s coming.
Galaxy Bud 2 Overview:
Ever since the first mention of Galaxy Buds 2 in the APK teardown, it seems more likely to drop any time soon. But now it is closer than ever as pictures of the wireless buds are captured from its recent FCC trail.
From the image itself the buds looks identical to the Galaxy Buds Pro. There can be seen two mics, an IR sensor to pause your music when taking them out for a chat and similar hardware components.
Also the case (EP-R177) shares the same specs with the Galaxy Buds Pro with 2.5W rated charging (5v*500mA). According to one tipster Ice universe, the Galaxy Buds 2 will have improve the sound quality and have Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).
Possible Release Date & Price
Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 are anticipated to launch later this year along with Galaxy Z Fold 3. There is also rumors of it coming on four different color variants with multiple device connectivity features as well.
The deal maker however could be it’s price tag. Set to compete with the Apple Air Pods 3 which is also expected to launch later this year. If the price is to be compared between the two, Samsung is the run away winner. It is expected to price around $149 (NRP 25,000) whereas the Air Pods could cost around $159 (NRP 30,000).
