Twitter has finally stepped out and hinted on it’s new subscription service ‘Twitter Blue’. The service is listed in the app stores as an in-app purchased which costs $3.00 in the USA.
Previously an app researcher named Jane Manchun Wong had tweeted about the new service with various screenshots of the new service.
Also, she revealed that there are features like the ‘undo tweet’ and ‘reader mode’ features to make reading long threads easier.
However, Twitter has denied any claims of including such a feature. Though these feature seem to be a something that such be given under the free app feature, Twitter has different plans.
The company’s decision comes under its plans to diversify its revenue sources. They also confirmed to BBC that increasing the revenue durability is their number one priority going ahead.
What Else Is New?
Along with the two new feature, Twitter is also giving users to access to change the accent colors which is blue in default. Similarly, it will have an alternative iOS icon with the iOS 10.3 update.
Twitter has also recently announced ‘Super Follow’ and ‘Tip Jar’ to benefit the users and content creators directly. Finally, Twitter has made it clear that they are focused to grow their advertising business and revenue from the app overall.
